Welcome to the home of the Dover Street Neighbors Association
The association consists of owners & renters of homes, condominiums, apartments and property on the 4400 through 4700 blocks of North Dover St. Over the past year and a half, a very committed group of residents worked extremely hard at establishing Dover St as one of Chicago's newest landmark districts. As a result of many hard fought efforts and victory, Dover St. can look forward to a bright future as home to many of Chicago's most architecturally significant homes.
As much as our neighbors pride themselves in their homes, we also pride ourselves in being a vibrant and diverse community. With our roots nestled deep into the history of Uptown, Dover St. is rich in personality, texture and civic pride. It is not difficult to see new residents chatting it up with next door neighbors who have lived on the block for more than a half century.
While being a socially oriented community organization, the DSNA also exists to educate and inform residents on Dover St. of community related issues such as landmark concerns, zoning change requests, parking matters and many other issues that often require involvement from our aldermen and city agencies. While the DSNA is a non-partisan organization, it does facilitate gatherings and the dissemination of important information to and from the neighbors to the aldermen and city agencies.
Throughout the year we host regular meetings to discuss a wide variety of topics, gather for informative presentations, celebrate our wonderful street with a summer block party and end the year with a festive holiday party.
Welcome to our home on the web, we hope to see you soon.
